Gaius Maecenas Limited Edition 4810 Fountain Pen

To mark the 20th anniversary of the Patron of Art edition, Montblanc pays tribute to Gaius Cilnius Maecenas, the patron saint of patronage, with highly refined limited-edition fountain pens. The shape is inspired by a Roman temple column. The body of Edition 4810 is made of marbled lacquer. On the cap, which, like the ring, is made of solid Au 925/1000 silver, is the first stanza of a poetic ode by Horace to Maecenas. The Au 750/1000 gold nib, rhodium-plated in Edition 4810, is finely engraved with a laurel wreath and the Roman numerals “MMXI”. This edition in honor of the founder of artistic patronage is completed by the portrait of Maecenas adorning the reproduction of a Roman coin set in the cone.
