Writers Edition Fountain Pen Homage to the Brothers Grimm Limited Edition

“Once upon a time…” The Montblanc Writers Edition Hommage aux frères Grimm fountain pen is dedicated to Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm and pays tribute to their work in collecting German and European folklore, including famous fairy tales such as Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. The fountain pen is shaped like an antique hiking stick, and its black colour recalls the darkness of the woods that are often the main setting for the Brothers Grimm’s folklore. In addition, the wavy pattern of the cap and barrel is inspired by Rapunzel’s hair while evoking roots, as the Brothers Grimm considered their linguistic work to be a “search into roots”. The cap is decorated with the Montblanc emblem in precious resin. The platinum-plated clip in the shape of a piece of gnarled wood has the surprising effect of rotating to reveal the profile of the Brothers Grimm. In homage to the magic of storytelling, the hand-crafted nib in rhodium-plated 18K gold is engraved with flames reminiscent of the fires around which folklore stories were passed down.
