The Chronomat occupies an important place in Breitling's history. By launching it in 1984, at a time when ultra-thin quartz timepieces were the order of the day, Breitling took a risky gamble with a mechanical watch of impressive size.
Based on the Frecce Tricolori chronograph, developed and launched in 1983 in collaboration with the famous Italian aerobatic team, the Chronomat celebrated Breitling's centenary in style and brought the mechanical chronograph back to its rightful place. It is worth remembering that the brand has built its entire global reputation on these absolutely sublime watches.
Available in a wide range of materials, including stainless steel and 18-karat red gold, the Chronomat features a 42 mm case and an iconic 4-rider bezel. Available in a range of black, blue, silver and bronze dials, the Chronomat is offered with the Rouleaux bracelet. It is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, a COSC-certified chronometer.
