Santos-Dumont

In 1904, Louis Cartier fulfilled the wish of the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont: to be able to tell the time while flying. Thus was born one of the first wristwatches, sealing the friendship of two pioneers. Its dial with rounded corners, its harmoniously curved lugs, and its exposed screws define an iconic timepiece that would be reinterpreted countless times.
