1904, Louis Cartier grants the wish of the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont: to read the time in mid-flight. Thus was born one of the first wristwatches, sealing the friendship of two pioneers. Its dial with rounded corners, its harmoniously curved attachments, its visible screws sign an iconic watch that will be the subject of multiple reinterpretations.
Santos-Dumont watch, small model, high-autonomy quartz movement (~ 6 years). Steel case, pearled crown decorated with a synthetic blue spinel in the shape of a cabochon, satin-brushed silver sunray dial, Roman numerals, blued steel sword-shaped hands, sapphire crystal, navy blue alligator strap, steel pin buckle. Case size: 38 x 27.5 mm, thickness: 7.3 mm. Water-resistant to 3 bar (~30 meters).
