Portuguese Automatic

This version features a 42.4 mm diameter stainless steel case, a Dune dial, gold hands, and gold appliques. Elegant and refined, the watch boasts a completely redesigned case, a thinner case band, and sapphire crystals on the front and case back. The highlight of this model is its meticulously crafted dial, produced using a complex 60-step process. The striking optical depth is achieved through the application of 15 layers of thin, polished transparent lacquer for an ultra-glossy finish. The subdials are milled into the brass and lacquer layers. A special printing process enhances the 3D effect. Finally, the appliques are individually hand-mounted on the dial. The Portugieser Automatic 42 is powered by the IWC-manufactured caliber 52011, exquisitely finished with perlage and Côtes de Genève. Reinforced with virtually indestructible zirconium oxide ceramic components, the Pellaton winding system stores a seven-day (168-hour) power reserve in two barrels. The watch is fitted with a black alligator strap secured by a fine steel folding clasp.
