Portuguese Perpetual Calendar

Developed in the 1980s by Kurt Klaus, the IWC Perpetual Calendar automatically distinguishes between the varying lengths of different months and leap years, and is easily adjusted via the crown. Now, for the first time, this complication is integrated into an IWC 82000 series movement. The Portugieser Perpetual Calendar 42 displays the date, month, and day of the week in three subdials located at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, respectively. It also features a moon phase indicator and a leap year indicator. Thanks to its ceramic components, the Pellaton winding system of the IWC-manufactured Calibre 82650 boasts a 60-hour power reserve.
