Portuguese Perpetual Calendar 42

Developed in the 1980s by Kurt Klaus, the IWC perpetual calendar automatically distinguishes between the variable lengths of the individual months and leap years and can be easily set via the crown. Today, for the first time, this complication is integrated into a movement from the IWC 82000 series. The Portugieser Perpetual Calendar 42 displays the date, month and day of the week in three counters at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock respectively. It also has a moon phase and leap year indicator. Thanks to its ceramic components, the Pellaton winding system of the IWC-manufactured calibre 82650 can store a power reserve of 60 hours. This 42 mm-diameter timepiece has an 18-carat red gold case, a silver dial, gold-plated hands and 18-carat gold appliques.
