In 2005, OMEGA launched its Planet Ocean line, keeping its maritime heritage in mind. Today, the elegant OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer pays tribute to OMEGA's heritage of diving watches.
This model features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a black ceramic dial with Arabic numerals and a date window at 3 o'clock. The unidirectional black ceramic bezel, with an OMEGA Liquidmetal™ diving scale, is mounted on a 39.5 mm stainless steel case.
The watch is also distinguished by its screw-down case back with a honeycomb design and its stainless steel bracelet closed by a patented expandable folding clasp.
The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer is water-resistant to 600 meters (60 bar / 2,000 feet) and equipped with a helium escape valve. The OMEGA Master Chronometer caliber 8800 at the heart of this watch is visible through the transparent case back. To obtain Master Chronometer certification, it had to pass eight rigorous tests established by METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology.
