Crafted in white gold, the 40 mm diameter case was specially designed to accommodate the 1205P movement with date and small seconds. The dial structured on three levels and a subtle play of alternating single and double indexes take up the codes dear to Piaget's ultra-thin automatic watches. The twelfth movement dedicated to the Altiplano Collection, the 1205P movement is the worthy heir to the 1208P presented by Piaget in 2010. It once again pushes the limits of excellence with a record thinness of 3.00 mm. No fewer than 221 components, patiently designed and assembled by hand, compete with each other in their tiny size in a composition of great mechanical delicacy. True to the tradition of off-center indicators, the date window at 9 o'clock blends into perfect balance with the small seconds at 5 o'clock. Embodying the constant concern of the Piaget watchmaking Maison to stand out, the 1205P movement is equipped with a specific index assembly bearing, like a secret signature, the "P" for Piaget. The circular Côtes de Genève, the circular-grained plate, the beveled bridges, the sunburst wheels and the blued screws complete this exceptional movement, recalling the aesthetic codes dear to the Swiss watch brand.
