Meisterstück x Olympic Heritage Chamonix 1924 Doué Classique Ballpoint Pen

To celebrate the Meisterstück centenary in 2024, Montblanc pays tribute to the origins of the iconic writing instrument in a collection inspired by the spirit of the 1924 Chamonix Olympic Games. As luck would have it, 1924 marked the launch of the writing instrument that would later become one of the Maison’s most sought-after masterpieces, as well as the hosting of the very first Winter Olympic Games, held in Chamonix at the foot of Mont Blanc. Both Montblanc and the 1924 Chamonix Olympic Games fundamentally embody, whether through master craftsmen or sporting heroes, the pursuit of the greatest possible human feat. The Doué edition combines a precious resin body in a blue-grey tone reminiscent of the official colour chosen for the Winter Games with a platinum-plated cap decorated with an engraving of the mountainous landscape of the Chamonix Valley. The Olympic rings are integrated into the Olympic Heritage logo engraved on the cap’s crown ring. A wreath of leaves, reminiscent of those awarded to the winners of the ancient Olympic Games as their highest distinction, encircles the whole. The cap itself is engraved with the words “Olympic Games Chamonix 1924” in a frame inspired by the cover of the official report of the games. The anniversary cap ring bears the words “1924” and “2024,” symbolizing the significance of the two years.
