Meisterstück x Olympic Heritage Chamonix 1924 Classic Fountain Pen

To celebrate the Meisterstück centenary in 2024, Montblanc pays tribute to the origins of the iconic writing instrument in a collection inspired by the spirit of the 1924 Chamonix Olympic Games. As luck would have it, 1924 marked the launch of the writing instrument that would later become one of the Maison’s most sought-after masterpieces, as well as the hosting of the very first Winter Olympics, held in Chamonix at the foot of Mont Blanc. Both Montblanc and the 1924 Chamonix Olympic Games are fundamentally about the pursuit of the greatest possible human feat, whether through master craftsmen or sporting heroes. The Classic Edition in precious resin in a blue-grey tone recalling the official colour chosen for the Winter Games features a handcrafted 14K gold nib adorned with a ski jumper, a nod to a vintage Olympic poster from that year. The Olympic rings are integrated into the Olympic Heritage logo engraved on the ring at the top of the cap. A wreath of leaves evoking those presented to the winners of the Ancient Olympic Games as their highest distinction encircles the whole. The cap itself is engraved with the words “Olympic Games Chamonix 1924” in a frame inspired by the cover of the official report of the games. The ring of the anniversary cap bears the words “1924” and “2024”, symbolising the significance of the two years. The Montblanc emblem on the top of the cap, encrusted in coral precious resin, the Maison’s signature colour, crowns this edition. International Olympic Committee – All rights reserved
