Meisterstück x Olympic Heritage Paris 1924 LeGrand fountain pen

To celebrate the Meisterstück centenary in 2024, Montblanc pays tribute to the origins of the iconic writing instrument in a collection inspired by the spirit of the 1924 Paris Olympic Games. As luck would have it, 1924 marked the launch of the writing instrument that would later become one of the Maison’s most sought-after masterpieces, as well as the hosting of the Summer Olympics in Paris. Both Montblanc and the 1924 Paris Olympic Games are fundamentally about the pursuit of the greatest human feat possible, whether through master craftsmen or sporting heroes. This special edition in precious resin in a warm red tone, reflecting the official red of the 1924 Paris Games, features a handcrafted 14K gold nib adorned with a javelin thrower, a nod to a vintage Olympic poster from that year. The Olympic rings are integrated into the Olympic Heritage logo engraved on the cap’s crown ring. A wreath of leaves, reminiscent of those awarded to the winners of the ancient Olympic Games as their highest distinction, encircles the whole. The cap itself is engraved with the words “Olympic Games Paris 1924” in a frame inspired by the cover of the official report of the games. The anniversary cap’s crown ring bears the words “1924” and “2024,” symbolizing the significance of the two years.
