The IWC Schaffhausen Ingenieur collection expands with this 35-millimeter version. A modern take on the original design, the Ingenieur 35 revisits the bold aesthetic codes of the Ingenieur SL, Reference 1832, a sporty luxury watch created in the 1970s by Gérald Genta, the renowned Geneva-based watch designer. This model features a case and integrated bracelet in fine steel, a silver dial, and rhodium-plated hands and hour markers. Designers and engineers worked closely together to faithfully adapt the construction and finishes of every part and feature of the Ingenieur to a 35-millimeter case. To achieve the desired visual proportions and ergonomics, every element had to be redefined. The result? A smaller, slimmer watch that showcases the iconic Ingenieur style while offering optimal ergonomics and comfort. The Ingenieur Automatic 35 boasts the same meticulous finishing as the 40-millimeter version. The watch features both satin-finished and polished surfaces, adding texture and creating sublime light reflections. The satin-finished bezel, with a polished outer edge, is secured to the case ring by five functional screws. The H-links of the bracelet also have a satin finish with polished edges, while the central links and case back are fully polished. The Ingenieur Automatic 35 is distinguished by its meticulously crafted dial with the characteristic grid pattern of fine lines and small squares. The hour markers are individually hand-applied and coated with Super-LumiNova®. The transparent case back reveals the caliber 47110, which boasts a 42-hour power reserve. Perlage-finished and decorated with Côtes de Genève, the movement features a gold-plated oscillating weight.
