Montblanc 1858 automatic

The Montblanc 1858 line is inspired by legendary professional watches produced by Minerva in the 1920s and 1930s for the military and exploration. Reinterpreting these historical models, Montblanc 1858 reflects the spirit of mountain exploration and is part of the current trend of a return to nature.

The Montblanc 1858 Automatic is one of the most pared-down vintage-inspired watches, with a blue theme echoed on the dial, case and bracelet. The case features a fixed steel bezel, clad in matching glossy blue ceramic and engraved with four luminescent cardinal points. Housed in a 40 mm stainless steel case with thin, curved lugs alternating between polished and satin-finished surfaces, the 1858 Automatic features a reproduction of Mont Blanc engraved on the case back, as well as a compass and two crossed ice picks, in homage to the Alpine world and the famous mountain that inspired the Maison’s founders. The timepiece is presented on a matching blue Sfumato calfskin strap with white stitching.
