The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne's famous adventure novel. The Solitaire Midsize ballpoint pen in black-stained wood evokes the second part of the journey, from Bombay to Yokohama. The wood refers to the scene where Mr. Fogg saves Princess Aouda, who is forced to commit sati. In this part of the adventure, the main characters travel on the back of a majestic elephant, depicted in a cartouche on the cap. The cap and body of the writing instrument feature an engraved motif. The clip is decorated with a red lacquered tile that represents Mr. Fogg's bet to travel around the world in 80 days. The length of the journey is embossed on the top of the cap: 80 days, 25 of which are from Bombay to Yokohama.
